Arab Street, unsurprisingly, is filled with great Muslim restaurants, textile shops, perfume shops, and shisha (that's hooka shops for the folks back home) places. First stop on the street was a local tourist shop with some usual and also unusual wares. Below are pics of the two most tempting items for me, hand sized decorative chests and hand painted porcelain spoons.
Next stop was the perfume shop. On Arab street there were a handful of these shops and all of them sold mainly oil based perfumed for both men and women. Mark, my Arab Street travel companion, was such a discerning client at one of these shops that the owner asked him if he was French.
Arab Street not only boasted an impressive array of shops and local eateries but also dazzling architecture. Below are a few of my favorite examples.
Possibly the most random and awesome site in Arab Street was the yellow Lamborghini parked on a little street corner.
Props to Keith Joswara for a very nice car.
